Embedded G fin tubes are specialized heat transfer components designed for enhanced thermal performance in air cooled heat exchangers. These tubes feature aluminum or copper fins mechanically embedded into grooves on the outer surface of low alloy steel base tubes (ASTM A213 T5).

Manufacturing Process
  • A helical groove is plowed into the base tube
  • The fin strip is wound into the groove under tension
  • The groove is backfilled with base tube material to secure the fin
  • The fin is locked into position by rolling the groove closed
