Product Description

ASTM A335 P5, P9, P11 P22, P91 Alloy Steel HFW Type Finned Tubes for Heat Exchanger applications. HFW (High Frequency Welded) Solid Fin Tubes provide high thermal efficiency and compact design solutions for heat exchangers using clean flue gases.

Manufacturing Process

Helical Solid Finned Tubes are manufactured by:

  • Helically wrapping continuous fin strip on tube using 400 kHz high frequency resistance welding
  • Continuous welding along the spiral root with gas metal arc welding process
  • Fin strip held under tension for forceful contact with base tube surface
Heat transfer surface area can be customized by specifying fin height, thickness, and number of fins per meter.
